Mike Langley

Managing Director

Mike began his aviation career while building custom street rods in Orlando, Florida in the early 1980’s. A local warbird restoration facility utilized Mike’s expertise for weld repairs to exotic materials on B17, B29 and P51 military aircraft. Soon after, Mike went to work in the back shops of the Page Avjet Corporation, a local commercial aircraft maintenance and repair facility specializing in private and corporate VIP interiors and military modifications. As a welder and machinist, Mr. Langley began to learn the trade of aircraft structures and sheet metal mechanic and specialized in the production of handcrafted parts and materials for business as well as commercial and military aircraft. From here Mike continued working for several other repair stations and airlines in both supervisory and management capacities until forming ML Aviation Services, Inc. in December 1998 after duties as the senior maintenance representative for heavy checks for Southern Air Transport and Manager of Maintenance Control for Transcontinental Airlines.

Imelda Langley

Vice President Administration

Imelda is our VP of Administration and chief office administrator. Mrs. Langley is tasked with the day-to-day office operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable and project scheduling with our customers. Imelda attended the University of Mazatlan School of Business Administration and was ranked first in her class upon graduation.

John “Duke” Porter

Sr. Technical Consultant

With fifty plus years in the aviation business, Duke has the experience and knows how to get the job done on time and within budget. After a storied career with Naval Air Patrol Squadrons, Duke began a career in private industry working his way up through the maintenance ranks to ultimately becoming the VP of Maintenance for Arrow Air, Inc. with direct responsibility and oversight of maintenance and quality control which included the worldwide set up of maintenance and maintenance control facilities. Additionally during his career with Arrow Air, Inc., Duke was also a Captain on the B707, B727 and DC8. After Arrow Air, Inc., Mr. Porter became VP of Technical Services and Operations at Challenge Air Cargo where he oversaw the maintenance, quality and flight operations departments and directed the Airline Security Office. In addition, Duke maintained FAR 121 compliance for the organization and was also a B757 Captain and retired with over 15,000 flight hours as pilot in command.

Ken Secrest

Sr. Technical Consultant

With over fifty years in the aviation business, Ken comes to us with a depth of knowledge and experience which is truly hard to find. Ken began his career with the Air Force providing electrical and mechanical engineering drawings and technical orders then transitioned to the Battelle Memorial Institute as a research assistant responsible for design and detail drawings of aeronautical, electrical and mechanical research projects. Mr. Secrest then moved on to Rockwell International and Delta Airlines ending a thirty- year career with the carrier as a Quality Systems Evaluator within the Quality Systems Management Group. Ken is a Certified Quality Auditor recognized by the American Society for Quality, a former President of CASE, Inc. and former Vice Chairman of the Air Carrier Section in addition to being a Level IV 1A (Repair/Overhaul Vendors), 2A (Fuel Into-Plane and Storage Facilities) and 3A (Surplus Parts) Evaluator, a University of Texas – Six Sigma Black Belt and QSA / RAB International ISO Quality Management Lead Auditor. Ken is an FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative holding various function codes and is a graduate of the Ohio State University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Rafael Ramirez

Sr. Technical Consultant

Rafael Ramirez has been a Senior Aviation Technical Consultant with ML Aviation Services, Inc. since August 2008. Rafael obtained his degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico City in December 2003 and began his career in commercial aviation with Grupo Aéreo Monterrey S.A de C.V,. Initially Rafael was tasked to assist with the development of controls, procedures and technical documents for programming control and management of aircraft maintenance, he later advanced to become engineering technical lead for incoming fleet aircraft. After Grupo Aéreo Monterrey S.A de C.V, Rafael joined Aeroenlaces Nacionales S.A. de C.V. as Entry Fleet & Major Services Coordinator assisting the fleet manager by providing engineering assistance to coordinate and monitor technical agreements, administrative and maintenance services of aircraft undergoing heavy maintenance checks and fleet additions.

Mr. Ramirez is a consulting board member to the Mexican DGAC & EMA standards verification unit where he continues to develop as an auditor and assists the Mexican authorities regarding review, updating and implementation and aircraft standards.
